My passion for décor, food, art & creativity is developing even more. Therefore, am always up for helping out my friends &  family with their little décor crunches. I guess I am just growing right now with my upcoming lifestyle avenue called “House of Hues”.

Okay! we all know about the power of love. And the power of positive thinking. And the power of attorney.  But what about the power of accessorizing?  How come Celine Dion never wrote a song about that?  Accessorizing is just as important, and I can prove it.  Exhibit A: This office makeover.  No major changes, the furniture is still the same, The walls are not even re painted again, but look at the difference!  Color! Texture! Art! Flowers!  I would be ten times more productive in the after.

First up, the red. I love bright pop colours, though am more of an Baroque person but a little tinge of bright colour popping up in the mist of earthy colours is always a delightful sight. One morning my friend and I were speaking over the phone and she just happened to tell me how bored she was with an old rusty looking table she had, and how she wanted to give away asap.

Just when an idea was screaming in my head “Colour me Red”. And of course we got that done in couple of days and you can see how fab. it looked.

Something similar happened with this makeover.  Not the horrible rustic table, thankfully, but the idea that this beat up old vintage dresser still deserved to serve a higher purpose in life. So we turned it into a dresser/changing table for her baby boy.  Doesn’t it look so crisp and clean now? And so shiny! Looks so much better in white with the simple pulls. And we added a bit of fun to it by a paper garland hung on the wall.

So, maybe you’re renting. Or maybe you wish you had more space in your own house.  Maybe you wish for a lush and sprawling backyard instead of a little wedge of patio barely big enough for a couple of lawn chairs in your balcony.  Well people, look again. You might have more than enough right in front of you! All you need to do is a creative visualization. Pretty great right?

Anyway, I am soon going to blog about my DIY  home accents, which will trigger your creativity for your own home décor ideas. And will soon post about the little revamps of my own house.  Have a happy week! :)
